1839–1906

Paul Cézanne

Paul Cézanne was born in Aix-en-Provence in 1839. At school there he became a close friend of the writer Émile Zola, who encouraged him to come and paint in Paris.

In Paris he met Camille Pissarro and showed his work at the first Impressionist exhibition in 1874. Yet he wanted more structure than a passing impression. Back in Provence he worked slowly, building form from planes of colour, stroke by stroke.

Are these originals or reproductions?

They are fine art reproductions of works by Paul Cézanne, printed for your order by our print partners. You get the composition, colour and detail of the painting at a size and price made for a home.

Which materials do you use?

Posters and framed posters are printed with archival pigment inks on 250 gsm fine art paper. Canvas prints use a cotton-polyester canvas of 300–350 gsm, stretched on 4 cm FSC-certified wood bars. Framed posters have a wood or black frame and a UV-protective acrylic front.

How long does delivery take?

Each time is the total number of business days from the day you order to the day your piece arrives, production included. To the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe: posters 3–6, canvas 4–7 and framed posters 5–8 business days. To Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates: 6–10, 8–13 and 10–16. These are estimates, not guaranteed dates. The delivery dates page counts them for you.

Will I pay customs or import charges?

Not for deliveries within the United States or the United Kingdom, or within the EU and Monaco. Deliveries to Norway, Switzerland and our extended network may be charged import duties, taxes or fees on arrival. These are set by your local authorities, are not included in our prices and are paid by the recipient. See customs and import charges.

What is your returns policy?

Every piece is made for your order alone. If it arrives damaged, defective or wrong, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we replace it free of charge. We do not accept change-of-mind returns, unless the law of your country gives you a right of withdrawal. Read our refund policy.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Email support@paulcezanneprints.art within 7 days of the delivery date recorded by the carrier, with your order number and photographs: the whole piece from about 1 metre, a close-up, all sides of the box and the shipping label. Keep the piece and all packaging. We reply with our decision within 2 business days, and once we confirm the claim we send a free replacement.
